BANKASSURANCE AS A TOOL FOR PROTECTING POPULATION DURING CRISIS

Abstract

The article discusses the concept of comprehensive and integrated cover of clients’ monetary needs and necessities called the bankassurance. It is divided in parts dealing with contracting, importance, problems and place of bankassurance in relation with the financial safety during crisis, as its solution is acute, given the current increased occurrence of natural and anthropogenic disasters.

University of Economics, Faculty of finance and banking, Nám. W. Churchilla, Prague 3, Czech Republic34-year old author with over 8 years of experience in international insurance business. Upon finishing PhD study programme of finances at the University of Economics, Prague and acquiring three master degrees in three different countries, he proceeds with the development of his theoretical academic activities in the field of finances and insurance business.

Roman URBAN

Independent researcherNerudova 4, 682 01 Brno; phone: 00420 604 380 685; Email: urban.r@centrum.cz Holds a PhD in Civil protection and crisis management from the University of Defense, Brno and he successfully passed Insurance management course at University of Economics, Prague. He has worked in insurance branch on various management positions within Vienna Insurance Group since 2006. In the years 2012, 2013 he was concerned with internal development and implementing of Solvency II requirements, mainly internal control system for Enterprise risk management department, VIG headquarters. Since 2014 is active as economist and company manager  in private sector. He is the author of some national and international papers and took a part in some scientific projects.
